Veterans Memorial Park is a passive park with 96.5 acres of rolling hills, grassy picnic areas, a large pavilion, camping areas and a community recreation building.Veterans Memorial Park occupies the grounds of the original site of a Veterans Hospital built in the 1940s but severely damaged in the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake.
