The proposed event would provide a living history environment for park visitors to experience the European Renaissance lifestyle on each weekend from April to May for nine (9) years. The Faire operation is proposed to be sited on and around turfed areas, used for large special events, at the southwest portion of the lake. The event activities include but are not limited to: blacksmithing, leatherworking, weaving, pottery, glass blowing, printing, painting, drawing, coin striking, wood carving, forging, candle making, selling foods, and selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The general public is invited to submit comments on potential environmental impacts that could result from implementation of the proposal. The public comment period on preparation of an Environmental Assessment for the proposal described above would extend from November 24 through December 24, 2015.
