Healthy Parks

In response to the alarming number of overweight and unfit children, teens, and adults in Los Angeles County, the Department of Parks and Recreation implemented the “Healthy Parks” Program. Each site is working with its communities to develop Health and Wellness Programs that reflect their diverse community needs.  All of our park programs incorporate aspects of our Healthy Parks Program. You may visit any County park site to participate in programs that work together to improve your family’s quality of life!
