1st ANNUAL ECOFEST AT
DEANE DANA FRIENDSHIP COMMUNITY PARK AND NATURE CENTER
The entire family is welcome to this FREE community event on November 4, 2017 from 9;00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to learn about environmental conservation, browse through great information booths about water collection and learn about local wildlife, birds and insects! Visitors also get to enjoy games and activities from face painting to viewing bird feeders, bug hotels and butterfly plant seed balls and also get a chance to adopt a live native California oak tree!
There will be a rainwater harvesting class from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. hosted by Rain Barrels International, along with a rain barrel sale from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Residents are eligible for a $50 rebate on 2 or more rain barrels per household, only 1 submission is allowed.
This event is co-sponsored by Los Angeles County, The Department of Parks and Recreation's Deane Dana Friendship Park and the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council.
