Park Hours:
 

Summer/Fall:   6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  (May 1st - October 31st)

Winter/Spring:  6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (November 1 - April 30th)

(Closed Christmas Day)

 

Swim Beach and Water Play Area Information:

 

The Swim beach will open weekends and holidays only starting May 26, 2018.  

Beginning Thursday, June 21, 2018 through September 3, 2018, and the Swim beach will be open Thursday – Sunday including holidays, closing for the season on September 4, 2018

*All swim beaches will continue to be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer months 
(Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day Weekend).

*Swim beaches will be open starting Memorial Day weekend (weekends only).  After Father's Day Weekend the swim beach will be open (Thursdays through Sundays) only.

 

Children's Water Play Area Requirements:

Santa Fe Dam Water play Area will open weekends and holidays only starting May 26, 2018  thru September 3,2018.

Open Weekends & Holidays from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. 

Proper swimming attire must be worn by all who enter the Water Play Area.  Including children and the adults supervising them.

Cost: $2.00 per person and session; four (4) sessions per day; 90 minutes each.

 

1st Session 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


2nd Session 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 

3rd Session 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

4th Session 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

 Children no taller than 52 inches allowed.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Children should be potty trained, if not swim diapers are required.

Vehicle Entry Fee: $10.00 Weekends and Holidays

Seniors and Disabled Person’s Vehicle: $5.00 Excludes Weekends & Holidays

Vehicle Driver must be 65 years or older and Disabled Person must present current placard.

Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area is nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains and is considered one of the many hidden jewels of Southern California.  This 836-acre facility boasts a serene 70-acre lake with year-round fishing and non-motorized watercraft usage.  During the summer months, the recreational area highlights a five-acre chlorinated swim beach and the unique Water Play Area.   The facility is home to many protected native plants and animals. The Nature Center is operated and staffed by volunteers of the San Gabriel Mountains Regional Conservancy offering educational, interpretive and walking tours throughout the year.

 

Large picnic areas are available for group, family and company picnics.  Smaller picnic areas are also available on a first come, first serve basis or by reservation.
