Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation celebrates Black History Month!
Black History Month is an annual observance that focuses attention on the contributions of African Americans to the United States. Celebrated around the world, Black History Month honors the triumphs, contributions, and struggles of Black people from all periods of U.S. history.
The intention of this month is to bring to the public’s attention important developments that merit emphasis. Through education and acknowledgement, join us in recognizing past and present key figures, and moments during Black History Month at a Los Angeles County Park.
