Call for Bands

Perform this Summer with LA County Parks

LA County Parks is hosting 108 free, family-friendly concerts across 27 park locations from July 1 through August 31, 2026. We are seeking talented local and regional bands to be part of this year’s lineup.

Performance Details

  • Paid opportunity
  • Sound equipment and stage will be provided
  • Performances will take place Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings after 5 PM
  • All of musical genres are welcome

Please be prepared to provide:

  • Band name
  • Number of band members
  • Genre
  • Sample of your work (if available)

About the Summer Concert Series

About the Summer Concert Series: The LA County Parks Summer Concert Series is a countywide initiative that activates parks with live music, arts, and family-friendly programming during the summer season. Concerts are designed to create welcoming, vibrant, and community-centered experiences for residents of all ages. In Summer 2026, 27-sites will each host four concerts. Ten sites will be designated as Mega Sites with enhanced production, including larger stages, expanded sound, lighting, and additional event support.

What We’re Looking For

  • High-quality live music suitable for family and community audiences
  • A mix of genres, cultures, and performance styles
  • Bands and artists with stage readiness and strong audience engagement
  • Performers available during July and August 2026
  • Artists able to provide music samples and basic technical information

Application Requirements

  • Bands and artists interested in being considered should be prepared to submit the following information through the Call for Bands application survey.
  • Band or artist name and primary contact information
  • Music genre and performance background
  • Availability for July–August 2026
  • Family-friendly performance Information
  • Music samples via upload or links in application survey
  • Basic technical and equipment needs

Selection Process

  1. Complete the online Call for Bands survey application.
  2. Upload or link music samples for review.
  3. Provide basic performance details, availability, and technical needs
  4. Applications are reviewed by DPR staff and organized for committee review.
  5. Agency and district committees review submissions and provide recommendations.
  6. DPR makes final band selections and contacts selected performers regarding next steps.

Decision-Making

Agency and district concert committees will help review music samples and provide recommendations on artist selection, community fit, themes, and programming ideas. Community stakeholders serve in an advisory role. Final band selection decisions are made by DPR to ensure alignment with program goals, funding requirements, and operational capacity.

After Selection

Selected bands will work with DPR and production partners to finalize logistics for their assigned performance dates. This may include technical coordination, stage plots, equipment needs, sound check schedules, call times, and run of show details.
