Working from Goethe’s conceptualization of the Primordial Plant, this class will use the site of the botanical garden to generate each unique student’s own conception of parallel plants through the methods of collage, creative text, and drawing. This co-taught class for four weeks will expand your imagination in how to think about plants and plant systems through a series of exercises moving from black and white to color sources, short presentations utilizing guest resident botanical experts, along with microscopic studies using a microscope.
