The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation will participate in the first SELA Arts Festival at the L.A. River on Saturday, July 21, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join us and celebrate arts and culture with local community members, artists, and L.A. River stakeholders. Make sure to stop by and visit our Trails Planning and Natural Areas table while you’re there!
The SELA Arts Festival at The L.A. River is a special event that highlights the arts and activities that make this region great! The L.A. River is underutilized, and festival organizers hope to recognize this unique area as a growing Arts District in California, and are welcoming everyone to come together to celebrate culture and community.
Participants include Molcajete Dominguero, SELA artists and vendors, L.A. River organizations and local food trucks. There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities, theatre, dance, music and more!
The Rio Hondo River Trail converges with the L.A. River Trail, which is the location of this event. Parking will be available at Hollydale Regional Park located at 5400 Monroe Ave., South Gate. For more information please call: (562) 529-3250.
The Department of Parks and Recreation maintains more than 200 miles of multi-use trails that allow for hiking, biking, and equestrian use: https://trails.lacounty.gov/
