AQUATICS TEAMS

Join one of our many aquatic swim teams and learn how to swim like a professional while receiving priceless team building skills.  Novice, dive, synchronized, and water polo are just some of the teams you can join.  All of our swim teams are championship teams and continue to thrive in competitive swimming.  Most locations offer this program during the summer season.

LAKES

The department proudly operates several lakes which provide a multitude of recreational opportunities. These range from fishing, paddle boards, swimming, non-powered boating, powered-boating, wind surfing, and more.  Each park features various activities. Be sure to click the link below for the individual park to obtain additional information including permitted activities, rules and regulations.

SPLASH PADS

During hot summer months, children throughout Los Angeles County can cool off and have fun at it by visiting one of our 18 Splash Pads located at our parks.

Whimsically decorated to stir the imagination of young children at play (ships, flowers and spirals are just some of the designs to be found), the colorful devices included on splash pads spray and shower youngsters with cool water, making them one of the most popular summertime attractions for young children.

SWIM BEACHES

Our swim beaches provide a fun way to cool off during the warm summer months. Many beaches have accessible picnic areas and barbecue pits for visitors to enjoy. Swim beaches do not require reservations and are open only during certain times of the year on designated days. Trained lifeguards are on site when swim beaches are open. For more details, please call the park directly.

SWIMMING POOLS

The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation provides a variety of aquatics programs at your local pool. From Aqua Aerobics to Water Polo, there is something for everyone and every skill level. Stop by one of our pools today!
