The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with LA County Library, proudly offers the Free Lunch and Snack Program, providing nutritious meals to children and youth ages 0-18 at participating parks and libraries throughout Los Angeles County.

This essential program helps reduce childhood obesity, supports food security, and ensures that youth have access to wholesome, balanced meals year-round – especially when school is not in session.

Program Overview
• Who Can Participate: Children and youth ages 0 – 18
• Cost: Free
• Meal Type: Nutritious lunches and snacks featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, and dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and string cheese.
• Meal Service: Dine-in only, served in designated areas at participating locations.

Locations

Meals are available at:
• 47 LA County Parks
• 20+ LA County Libraries

To qualify as meal sites, participating parks and libraries are located in areas where 50% or more of students are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals.

Additional Information
• Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Available exclusively to children and youth ages 0-18.
