Your Los Angeles County parks have something to offer every kind of athlete. Whether you’re trying to improve your game and skills or just looking for a fun way to get out and get active, our amenities include baseball fields, basketball courts, fencing lessons, soccer leagues, and more. BASEBALL PROGRAMS

Our Baseball and T-ball programs emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork. All participants have a chance to learn new skills and enjoy fun competition in a safe environment. Registration and teams are organized at each park. If you are interested in being a volunteer coach or would like more information on this sport, please contact your local park.

BASKETBALL COURTS

Los Angeles County has 92 basketball courts throughout our County parks. Stop by with friends, consider joining a league or pick-up a game at the park! Click the button below to find a court near you or contact your local park for more information.

CRICKET

A cricket field is a large ovular or circular grass field approximately 450 to 500 feet in diameter. The field consists of an outfield, infield, close infield, and a pitch where wickets are placed. The department is proud to have a cricket field at Victoria Community Regional Park. Click the button below for information on how to contact the park.

FENCING

With our fencing lessons, kids can learn basic fencing skills while making new friends. The class is performed in a safe environment with an emphasis on skill building, discipline, confidence and most importantly, fun! The program is open to boys and girls ages 5 through 17 and fencing gear is provided. Fencing is currently offered at George Lane Park. Click the button below to visit the park page.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Our Flag Football leagues emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork. All participants have a chance to learn new skills and enjoy fun competition in a safe environment.  Registration and teams are organized at each park.  If you are interested in being a volunteer coach or would like more information on this sport, please contact your local park.

FUTSAL

ENJOY OUR INDOOR SOCCER COURTS

Indoor Soccer, which is known as Futsal, is a fast paced game played in an indoor setting instead of the traditional grass soccer field. Played in gymnasiums, the game consists of two teams competing against each other with a minimum of five players per team. Click the button below to find Futsal courts near you.

SOCCER LEAGUES

Our Soccer leagues emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork. All participants have a chance to learn new skills and enjoy fun competition in a safe environment. NETBALL

Netball is a sport similar to basketball, but is played with 7 players and just a hoop, no backboard. The rules of netball are also different in that you cannot take more than two steps while holding the ball and there is no dribbling, only bounce-passing. Netball is high energy and lots of fun! SOFTBALL

Join one of our many softball teams at parks throughout the County for our 18 and up leagues. Youth softball programs are also available.  Please contact a park listed below for more information on Softball leagues.

TRAVELBALL

Springball and Travelball allows participants to compete with neighboring leagues in tournaments.  League rules, registration/fees, and schedules vary at each location.  For more information, please contact your local park.

TENNIS LESSONS

Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation offers tennis lessons suited for the beginner player to the seasoned player. All ages are welcome. Check your local park for lesson availability.

VOLLEYBALL

The department has many volleyball courts both indoor and outdoor for your recreational enjoyment. To join a league, reserve a court and for more information contact your local parks and recreation team directly.
