SWIM BEACH INFORMATION

The swim beach will be open Memorial Day weekend and every weekend thereafter. The swim beach will open seven days a week starting June 21st.

  • All participants must adhere to physical distancing requirements of 6 feet.
  • All participants are required to wear face coverings except while in the water.
  • Gatherings of single household units of 10 or less may be permitted. Groups larger than 10 persons are not allowed.
  • Balls, floats (other than U.S. Coast Guard approved personal floatation devices), and toys shall not be permitted in the water.
  • Tents of any kind, including unenclosed sun shelters and umbrellas, are prohibited on the swim beach.
  • Restrooms will be sanitized regularly.
  • Water fountains shall be available to fill water bottles only.
  • Participants will be asked to leave if not complying with these restrictions.

CHILDREN'S WATER PLAY AREA REQUIREMENTS

Santa Fe Dam’s Water Play will open in 2021!

When open, requirements includes:

  • Open Weekends & Holidays from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day.
  • Proper swimming attire must be worn by all who enter the Water Play Area. Including children and the adults supervising them.
  • Cost: $2.00 per person and session; four (4) sessions per day; 90 minutes each.
    • 1st Session 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
    • 2nd Session 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • 3rd Session 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • 4th Session 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Children no taller than 52 inches allowed.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Children should be potty trained, if not swim diapers are required.

At Wheel Fun Rentals you can choose from a wide variety of pedal boats, kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, as well as three- and four-wheel cycles that will seat up to 11 people. Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area is a lovely, well-maintained regional park located in the San Gabriel Valley, for kayaking, come prepared to get a little wet from the drip of your paddle and splash of the water. And when you are done on the water, you can choose from a wide variety of 4-wheel Surreys and specialty cycles large enough to fit the whole family or enjoy pizza and ice cream at the snack bar.

PICNIC RESERVATIONS

No group picnics over 10 people are allowed at this time due to the COVID-19. We are not issuing reservations until further notice.

RECREATION PROGRAMS

Santa Fe Dam’s Junior Lake Lifeguard Program provides a challenging and exciting open water environment which promotes an active and responsible lifestyle for participants ages 9-17. Lifeguard staff serve as mentors and impart their experience by leading hands-on activities. Youth are introduced to water safety, athleticism, teamwork and potential careers in aquatics.
