Drop In Afterschool Adventures

Offered from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday at 56 parks. This FREE non-custodial 35-week drop-in program launches September 7 and runs until May 27. No registration is required.

Children can enjoy a snack with their friends at select parks from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at select parks. The program provides children ages 7-17 with access to caring and trained park staff who serve as mentors and lead an array of programs and activities.

Activities range from sports, fitness, arts and crafts, STEM, group games, story time and so much more!

Learn to Swim Scholarships Available

LA County Parks has partnered up with the American Red Cross to provide FREE Learn to Swim Lessons to qualifying kids ages 5-17 at our five year-round pools across LA County for the Winter and Spring sessions! Winter Contract Classes

Take up a New Year’s Resolution and learn something new this winter! Whether you’re taking up a new hobby, learning a new skill or being more active, LA County Parks invites you to join our Winter Classes for all ages! Choose from a variety of classes, ranging from sports and dance workouts to languages and arts. In-person and virtual classes start December 6.


Use our trails website or mobile app to find some of the best trails in the world. You can search for trails by name city or park, or look up length and elevation gain, or find out which trails allow dogs, horses and bikes. You’ll find everything you need to plan your next adventure!

LA County Parks Operations Plan for fiscal year 2021/2022 was developed with centering equity, access and commitment to programming. The hours of operations of parks and programs promote equitable access to the public.  The Operations Plan also provides an overview of the key core programs offered by LA County Parks, information on the rental fees to access the facilities and provides important contact information for the main offices.
