Through this program, girls will learn specific skills they can use at home, at school and in their community. “Girls on the Run” places an emphasis on developing competence, confidence, connection, character and caring in young girls through lessons that incorporate running and other physical activities. The life skills curriculum is delivered by caring and competent coaches who are trained to teach lessons in a way in which girls can relate to, using fun activities.
The program will conclude with a celebratory 5K Run (3.1 miles) for the whole family.
