PROJECT TITLE: Richard Rioux Park Fence Replacement Project

PROJECT LOCATION: Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park, 26233 W. Faulkner Dr. Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The proposed Project scope consists of removal and replacement of the ornamental fence and footings along the perimeter of the park and at the group picnic area, removal and replacement of a chain link fence, removal and replacement of gates, and repainting fence posts and gates.

EXEMPT STATUS: Categorical Exemption

TYPE, SECTION OR CODE: 15301 (d) and 15302 (c)

REASONS FOR EXEMPTION: The proposed project is categorically exempt under CEQA according to sections 15301 (d) and 15302 (c), because the project provides for restoration or rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged structures, facilities, or mechanical equipment to meet current standards of public health and safety, and replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities involving negligible or no expansion of capacity.

In addition, based on the proposed project records, it will comply with all applicable regulations, and there are no cumulative impacts, unusual circumstances, damage to scenic highways, listing on hazardous waste site lists compiled pursuant to Government Code section 65962.5, or indications that it may cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historical resource that would make the exemption inapplicable.
