Develop skill in composing and organizing visual space through drawing media. To become familiar with various drawing techniques: gesture, line and its uses, value and form, identify properties of light, mass and weight, structure, linear/atmospheric perspective, additive and subtractive methods. Creative/Critical skill development-To encourage and recognize growth in critical/creative thinking skills in understanding elements and principles of Art through drawing, and to gain beginning insight to communicating content and subject matter. Develop discipline and integrity with respect to professional habits, to develop focus, and to realize these goals through a drawing practice that requires maintaining a sketchbook.
Every Friday (4 -week class); July – December 2018
