LA County Board of Supervisors Proclaim July as “Parks Make Life Better!” Month

LA County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion on July 13, 2021, proclaiming July as “Parks Make Life Better!” Month in recognition of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation and the vital role local, community, regional parks, dog parks, nature centers, trails, open space, and facilities have on contributing to healthy people and communities.

The bundle of six golf courses at five facilities in this solicitation, which appeal to a broad range of golfers of all skill levels, have historically serviced approximately 377,000 annual rounds played. SALAZAR PARK – PARKWIDE MODERNIZATION- NOTICE OF EXEMPTION

The proposed project consists of a new 20,000 square foot plaza with performance stage, trees, and civic art; 8,000 square foot outdoor multi-purpose event space; new splash pad, seating, and shade; and active and passive recreation amenities including fitness zones, revitalized walking and jogging path circuit, shade structures, and seating.
