This Spring, visit LA County Parks locations for recreation and adventure! We are offering a variety of new FREE programs for youth and families, including sports equipment check-out during afterschool hours, sports clinics for ages 6-12, and exploration programs to discover the wonder of nature and wildlife. EVERY BODY PLAYS (FLYER)
TUESDAYS-SATURDAYS 2:30-5:30 P.M.
Youth can rent sports equipment for FREE when playing at 55 parks throughout LA County. We encourage youth to get active and stay healthy in a safe place. Connect with LA County Parks staff at each location for more information.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Present a house key, school I.D. or other form of identification to rent equipment. Equipment that can be checked out will be based on the amenities each specific facility has to offer. Equipment may include: Tennis racquets and balls, basketballs, soccer balls, carom tables, games, hula hoops and jump ropes.

SATURDAYS FROM APRIL 10-MAY 29 AT VARIOUS TIMES; 8 WEEK PROGRAMS AVAILABLE
All youth deserve the chance to play sports! LA County Parks is proud to offer FREE sports clinics offered at 25 parks for youth ages 6-12. Have fun, exercise and develop a love for being active with basic skills training in soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and cheer on Saturdays. Each clinic lasts about two hours. WEDNESDAYS-FRIDAYS 2:30-5:30 P.M. AND SATURDAYS 10:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M.
Go on an adventure at our amazing 7 Nature Centers! Explore ecosystems, identify plants and wildlife, make art from nature and maybe even meet special animal guests. Discover the natural world with fun activities planned by our Natural Center staff and make time to walk or hike at each location.

Join us for a free & safe drive-thru giveaway at an LA County park near you! REGISTER ONLINE to reserve a space for your household. Only one reservation per vehicle, please. Here’s what you’ll get:
- Outdoor activity kit including a kite, a flying disc, a sun catcher, a bug jar, a butterfly catcher, a magnifying glass and a starter gardening kit
- Spring pre-filled eggs to create your own hunt
- Coloring book to enter the art contest
- Food supplies
FREE SNACK PROGRAM
LA County Parks and select city parks will provide nutritional snacks at to ensure that children are not hungry in the afternoon. Youth ages 18 and under receive a free nutritious snack that include fruit, vegetables, dairy products, juice and water at qualifying parks. Created to help reduce the growing percentage of young people in the United States challenged by obesity or lack of consistent access to wholesome meals, the program aims to provide a healthy alternative for students after-school.

SPRING ART CONTEST
ENTER BY APRIL 11
Participate in our Spring art contest for a chance to win a bicycle and helmet! Color, draw or paint this coloring page HERE (also found on page 5 of the coloring book handed out at the Spring Grab-n-Go). To enter, write your name and age on your picture, take a photo and submit your entry to ArtContest@parks.lacounty.gov. One winner will be selected from each age group: ages 6 & under, ages 7-12, ages 13-18. Entries will be judged by age group on creativity and coloring skills. Deadline to submit artwork is April 11. Winners will be announced on LA County Parks social media platforms.
