How Do I Make a Tee Time?

Requests may be made in person or by telephone, from 5:00 a.m. to sundown on Saturdays and Sundays and 6:00 a.m. to sundown on weekdays. Cancellations will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to your tee time. Tee times may be made up to 7 days in advance for two, three, four or five players in a group. Only one reserved time per person is allowed, and that person must be a member of the group for which the reservation is made.  Tee times may also be available online and the following locations currently offer online reservations (booking fees may apply).

Can a single player reserve a tee time?

Yes, single players are permitted to make reservations at our golf facilities and will be paired with other reservations based on availability.

How do I arrange a golf tournament?

Tournament requests begin January 1st of each year for the following calendar year.  All requests should be sent directly to your desired golf course/facility.  All requests are handled by each individual golf course and further details may be obtain by contacting them directly.

What are the benefits of the Los Angeles County Senior Card?

Senior Citizens, 65 years of age or older, may purchase an annual Senior Card which when presented at the Starter’s window at any Los Angeles County Golf Course shall entitle the owner to reduced greens fees as approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Senior Cards are valid only for play Monday through Friday, Non-Holiday, Non-Tournament.  Persons using the Senior Card may secure reservations before 7:00 a.m. and after 9:00 a.m.  Senior Citizens using their Senior Card between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, Non-Holiday, Non-Tournament, will be extended the Senior Card benefits on a “Stand By/Wait List” only basis.

Can I use my Los Angeles County Senior Card on the weekend?

No, Senior Cards may be used Monday-Friday, Non-Holiday, Non-Tournament with a reservation before 7:00 a.m. and after 9:00 a.m. or anytime playing from the “stand-by/waitlist.”  Days and times of use are set to allow accessibility to our constituents that may only be available to play on the weekends.

Do you offer Rain Check/Refunds?

Once play has begun, there are no rain checks or refunds on fees paid to the golf course.

How much is a Los Angeles County Senior Card to purchase?

The current non-refundable annual fee is $28 as set by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

Where can I purchase a Los Angeles County Senior Card?

A Los Angeles County Senior Card may be purchased at all Los Angeles County Golf Facilities, excluding Maggie Hathaway.  Upon purchase you will be required to provide: proof of age (Valid birth certificate, passport, or driver’s license) and a current 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ inch photograph.  No application forms required, simply apply in person at a Los Angeles County Golf facility.

Do you offer ADA golf carts?

Yes, ADA golf carts are available at our facilities with a minimum 72 hour notice.  Please contact the golf course directly to make your arrangements.

How do I find more information about the Los Angeles County Junior Golf Program?

The Los Angeles County Junior Golf Program (LACJGP) exists to provide today’s youth with an opportunity to experience the game of a lifetime. Our County staff is committed to creating and maintaining a golf program geared to introducing youngsters to County facilities and exposing them to valuable life skills such as Respect, Integrity, Character and Honor (RICH). What is the age to be considered a “junior” golfer?

A person shall be considered a “junior” golfer until one’s 19th birthday or until September 1st of the year of one’s high school graduation, whichever occurs first.

Can I fish at the local golf course?

No, our golf courses are not available for fishing.

How do I establish a handicap?

Handicap establishment can be done through a variety of ways and you find more details through the Southern California Golf Association or by joining the Los Angeles County Golf Club or visiting Los Angeles County Junior Golf

Are spectators allowed?

Spectators are permitted and subject to the prevailing green fee at any time.  The operator at their sole discretion may allow spectators at no fee for the following Los Angeles County sanctioned events:

Do you offer Footgolf?

Yes! We currently offer Footgolf at Don Knabe Golf Center in Norwalk, CA.

Do I need my own set of clubs?

When playing a round of golf, each player is required to have their own set of clubs.  Sharing a set or a few clubs is not permitted at this time.  Facilities do have rental sets available (fees may apply).

What is the minimum age for junior golfers to play the course?

Golfers under the age of fourteen(14) may play on County golf courses only when accompanied by an adult, unless they have demonstrated appropriate knowledge of golf course etiquette and play.

How do I become a Junior Golf Program Coach?

Junior Golf Coaches are hired on an “as-needed” basis to adequately staff our programs.  All candidates will be required to pass pre-employment screenings that will determine eligibility.  If you are interested in applying to the program, please click on the link below and email a copy of your resume to both emails that auto-fill.  Make sure the subject line is: “Junior Golf Program Coach Applicant”.  Coach applicants will be reviewed and selected based on experience, eligibility, and staffing requirements.

What is the dress code at Los Angeles County Golf Courses?

Shirts and pants/shorts must be worn on the golf course at all times.  Shoes must be worn at all times and appropriate for golf.  Cleated golf shoes must be soft spikes only.

How do I book a golf course for filming/commercials?

Interested parties should contact the golf facility directly.  All filming permits and fees apply.

Can I bring my own riding cart/bicycle for my round of golf?

Personal motor carts or bicycles are prohibited at golf course properties.

Can I bring my own food/beverage to the course?

Outside food and beverage is prohibited at our golf courses without prior consent from the concessionaire.  All facilities offer an assortment of food & beverage options to meet your needs.

What is the July “Junior Golfer Appreciation Month”?

During the month of July, junior golfers can play golf at each location for $1.00, when accompanied by a full paying adult after 12:00 p.m. daily.

Are Los Angeles County employees eligible for discounted green fees?

Specific discounted fees are not available to individual Los Angeles County employees at our golf facilities. However, County employees along with the public are welcome to participate in Los Angeles County Golf Club (LACGC).

What is the Golf Advisory Committee Schedule?

Established in the early 1980’s, the Golf Advisory Committee is a body appointed by the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide recommendations and advice on golf related issues. The meetings are open to the public, and scheduled on a quarterly basis on the second Wednesday of the month at various County golf courses. Notice of the meeting is posted 72 hours prior at each County golf course.
